Fates and Furies: A Novel
This was just.... a chore to get through. Holy purple prose, batman. The "fates" section was so hard to get me to pick up and actually care about any of the characters. The "furies" section started to be interesting, but it was just too little too late. If I didn't have to read this book for a book club, I definitely would have DNF'd it. It has writing a la Jonathan Franzen. I've read one Franzen book (The Corrections) and DNF'd less than half way through. I just couldn't take it - much like this one. Purple prose makes me purple barf.Dislike.
