The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - Rebecca Skloot, Cassandra Campbell, Bahni Turpin I probably would not have read this book, or even heard about it, had it not been for a book club I joined. The story of Henrietta Lacks is actually pretty interesting, at least the parts that we found out. I felt this book was too much about how Skloot figured out the information and about Deborah, Henrietta's daughter, than about Henrietta herself. The title is, indeed, misleading. The mix of science and anecdotes was well done, but just not my cup of tea.

A more detailed, in-depth review to come. Once published on my blog, I will link it here.
